Myrtle Wilt at Ciancio

In the Cool Temperate rainforest around Ciancio creek, brown foliage on dead or dying myrtle beech trees indicates myrtle wilt is already at epidemic levels in the area. Clearfell logging authorised by the Department of Natural Resources and Environment in April 2000 will create more opportunities for infection.
