Forest Fact File - Notes

This file has been created as a general resource for all environment groups, helpers and interested or concerned people. Please distribute as widely a possible.

This document has been deliberately constructed to provided a short, concise, referenced presentation of facts, with minimal comment or interpretation. Negative facts (those that not support our goals) have been included when they have been found in the references used, for the purposes of helping people be prepared for negative arguments.

I have tried to sight original pieces of work where possible, though time and resource constraints have not always made this possible. This work was initially begun in late 1995 and is being placed on the Internet in its original format. Over the next few months the Forest Fact File will be expanded and enlarged.
